According to senior industry representatives, more than 60 airports and dozens of airlines have already moved to domestic solutions developed through industry competence centers. Projects such as a digital airport ecosystem and the BAGS Search baggage tracking system do more than replace previously used foreign products. They also improve operational efficiency. Thanks to the introduction of AI modules, Sheremetyevo Airport, for example, was able to save RUB 1 billion, proving the economic value of moving to domestic platforms.
At the same time, the hardware component of security is also developing. Tsikada Holding is bringing to the market a new family of trusted boot solutions called Bioklyuch, developed on domestic microcontrollers. By June 1, 2026, the digital development authority plans to approve a concept for creating an ecosystem of national open-source repositories. This step is strategically important, as it helps ensure technological independence and build a local innovation ecosystem.
